Wickedly Good FAQ's

What is the booking process?
Once you have contacted us by either filling out our booking form or calling us. We require a $200.00 deposit within 7 days. The balance is due 2 weeks before the function date. If the event is less than 2 weeks away, full payment must be received before event.

How do I make a payment?
We accept electronic funds transfer, cheques and direct deposits into a commonwealth bank account

How does the unit work?
The unit is comprised of two basic sections: the heater base, which contains the holding basin, and the fountain unit, which contains the Auger (similar to a corkscrew). Generally chocolate is premelted in a microwave or with the use of a double boiler. The temperature is set on the fountain, then the chocolate is poured into the base. Once the motor is turned on the fountain will begin to flow.

Can the fountain be used outside?
We do not recommend using the fountain outside for two reasons: 1) Chocolate attracts insects, 2) Maintaining the flow temperature of the chocolate is critical for continued smooth operation. A cool breeze could cause the chocolate to harden slightly as it is flowing down the fountain, disrupting the flow and causing pieces to be recycled up through the yager. It could be very difficult to maintain a constant temperature in an outside setting.

What type of Chocolate do you use?
Only use the chocolate supplied or recommended by Wickedly Good Chocolate Fountains. We use Belgian Couverture chocolate which has a high cocoa butter content. This high quality chocolate has a high fluidity when melted. Choose from Milk , White or Dark

Do you re-use the chocolate?
Most definitely not. Once the chocolate has been put in the bowl or added to the chocolate fountain it is always discarded at the end of the event. Should you want to keep any leftover chocolate you do so at your own risk

What do I need to supply?
DIY Package – You will need to pick up and return the chocolate fountain to Reynella SA. You will need skewers, napkins, a sturdy table and access to mains power. Also you will need any dipping foods you want to offer your guests. The chocolate fountain must be returned clean.
Standard Hire Packages - A sturdy table capable of holding at least 60kg. Access to mains power. Also you will need any dipping foods you want to offer your guests

Can I do my own dipping foods?
Yes you can. Any food that you can stick on a skewer and will not disolve or crumble in the chocolate is suitable.

How do I pre-melt chocolate?
The easiest way is to melt chocolate in the microwave – Down load melting instructions
You can also melt chocolate in a double boiler.

Is the fountain easy to assemble, use and clean?
The unit has four components and all require not much more than a drop-click assembly. The motor switch and temperature control knob are the only controls required to operate the unit, and adding additional chocolate may be the only concern while it is operating. Cleaning couldn't' be easier as the three upper fountain components are dishwasher safe, or can be hot water and rinse cleaned. The basin cannot be immersed in water, but cleans with just a short hot water soak and rise. NOTE: You must assure all components are completely dry before use.

How many people will it serve?
Small: serves up to 80 guests, Medium: serves up to 150 guests, Large: serves 150 plus guests

Is the Small DIY package easy to set up / use?
Yes it is very easy and can be cleaned in a domestic kitchen sink in around 15 minutes.
